There is NO PARKING allowed ON ROADWAYS. Because of the narrow streets, cars must be parked completely off of roadways for safety purposes. Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles have difficulty navigating the narrow roads. Again, you must not park with even 2 wheels on the roadway. This is an enforced ordinance.
Before picking up a hammer or a nail, you MUST contact Building Commissioner Steve Thomas (who will be the contact until the building department has re-organized). This includes any type of building: new home, remodeling, sheds, fences, anything!
NOTHING is to be placed on the roads (pavement). No yard debris, leaves, tree limbs, snow, ice etc. Please inform your landscape and snow removal providers. There is a FINE!
Spring Cleaning Your Property
As you clean up your property this spring, please do not plan on dumping the waste on any of the overgrown, uninhabited properties around Michiana Shores. As a responsible
homeowner and citizen of Michiana Shores, DO NOT DUMP!
(There is a fine of $100 for each violation.)
To All Residents!
If you should see or hear ANYTHING at ANYTIME, that appears suspicious in nature or unusual, do NOT hesitate to call the police!
(This is a 'public service annoucement!')
