THE VILLAGE OF MICHIANA, MICHIGAN IS ENFORCING THE 'NO ENTRY TO THE BEACHES FROM STOP 37 to 41' PROHIBITIONS
The Town Council, together with the Planning Commission have enacted:ORDINANCE 2020 - 02, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SPECIAL USE PROVISIONS AND CREATING A SHORT TERM RENTAL PERMIT SAFETY & SECURITY PROGRAM OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE TOWN OF MICHIANA SHORES, INDIANA.
The Clerk Treasurer's Office will remain closed to the public until further notice.
It is YOUR responsibility to become aware of what fireworks (IC 22-11-14-1) are permitted.
Remember to apply for permits for all of your construction and improvement projects!
We recently passed a Short Term Rental Ordinance and are working on implementing the permitting process and getting an enforcement program into place. Please be patient: It does and will take time.
The Town Council of Michiana Shores is sharing information that has been provided to us regarding the coronavirus pandemic and the ways in which we can help to prevent its spread within our community.
Please DO NOT dump any LEAVES, or ANY OTHER DEBRIS, on property that is not your own. Vacant lots ARE owned by someone!
There are many opportunities for you to join the elected council members, and the Town, in all the jobs and concerns and events of the Town, to volunteer for committees and projects.
Please check with the LaPorte Solid Waste District as not everything was back on track dues to Covid-19 about electronics, tires, appliances, items to be shredded, and Household Hazardous Waste items.
